- **Event Description**: TVCC Youth  with disabilities & siblings, 8-12 yrs, who reside within Elgin/Middlesex, Huron/Perth, Grey/Bruce & Oxford CountyAbout this EventTVCC clients and their siblings are invited to this special PD Day workshop that will inspire creativity and foster self expression through the creation of their very own art journal.In this workshop, participants will delve into the world of art journaling - a dynamic and adaptive medium for youth to explore and process their thoughts, emotions and memories through creative expression. Participants will be provided with a journal and all materials, and will take their journal with them to use at home. The afternoon will include a snack break and physical activity in the gym.In this program participants will:-Meet fellow TVCC clients and siblings-Participate in self-expression activities to develop self-awareness-Learn different journaling techniques, including creative writing* and visual artsParticipant Criteria:-TVCC clients and their siblings (ages 8-12) living in Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce counties-Able to participate in a group and engage in artistic expression, with or without accommodations. Participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them with accommodations.-Interested in creative writing and/or arts; all artistic skill levels welcome.*NOTE: participants do not need to be able to journal with written text!
