Foie gras is produced by force-feeding ducks and geese, until their livers become diseased, and swell to up to 10 times their natural size, it causes animals immense suffering. Foie gras is completely illegal to produce in the UK, on the grounds of animal cruelty. This company nonetheless still continues to use this product, even though it's a product of pure cruelty! This is a product that you cannot even legally produce in the UK, due to the cruelty involved in this industry. This is why 16 countries in the world have banned the production of this product. Foie gras production causes the livers of ducks and geese, to swell to six to ten times their normal size, due to them being force fed massive quantities of boiled maize, mixed with fat. The force feeding process causes them problems with standing, walking, breathing, grooming and drinking. It's also the case that the mortality rate for force fed birds, is ten to twenty times that of non force fed birds. Animals used in foie gras production are also usually kept in small cages, which causes them problems with standing, stretching their wings, and being able to turn around. Please let me know what you think about this. I'm hoping that you'll take on board what I've said, and remove foie gras from your establishment.
