The Centre for Digital Business Research undertakes interdisciplinary research into the theories, methods and technologies driving the digitalisation of organisations, government and society. Our work examines not only how digital technologies transform systems and institutions but also how they affect people’s everyday lives. The Centre’s research is both theoretical and applied: theory informs our empirical studies of human–technology interaction while also guiding the development of robust approaches to designing, evolving and integrating information systems.
The theme of the 5th Westminster Digital Business Symposium is Digital Business: Theory and Applications. This year’s symposium will showcase research led by members of the Centre, highlighting a range of interconnected themes. Topics include the use of ontological theories in information modelling, the evolutionary nature of computer systems, digital resilience in the face of pandemics and misinformation, digital government and the development of essential skills in artificial intelligence.
We invite academics, students, practitioners and all those with an interest in digital transformation to join us for this event. The symposium will be held in person, and registration is free. Please see the schedule below for details.
