EMT-Basic Class Coming to Southern – Starting January 21, 2026!
We are excited to announce an upcoming EMT-Basic (Emergency Medical Technician) class beginning January 21, 2026, at Southern. We are currently accepting all interested students who are ready to take the first step toward a rewarding career in pre-hospital healthcare.
Class Details
Location: SWVCTC – Logan
Class Day: Wednesdays
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Length: 15 weeks
Class Format
This course is taught in a flipped classroom format:
Lectures: Completed independently at home through self-study
In-Person Class Time: Dedicated to hands-on skills, practical scenarios, and instructor-guided support, Mike Smith students need extra help
This approach allows students to learn at their own pace while gaining valuable hands-on experience during class.
