Derek Piotr Fieldwork Archive Lecture

Join folklorist and performer Derek Piotr on March 19 at 6 PM in Logan Library's Community Room A. He will give a presentation on the Derek Piotr Fieldwork Archive, a web-based collection of over 1,500 recordings of songs, stories, and folkloric memories from people with no formal musical training. In this lecture, Derek will share his experiences traveling from Iceland to Appalachia to document these voices, as well as the creation and organization of the Archive. This program is presented in partnership with Utah State University.
