The GREAT Beaver Mtn Bash Spring Party

Race the Face … 10a.
$15 to participate. This is an endurance race. Competitors will hike up the “Face” to the top of the old T-bar lift and then ski down to the finish line. Everything you carry up must come down. No skins allowed; this is a boot pack race. Come and prove that you are the toughest! Prizes will be given for the fastest in each category. Men’s and women’s categories, ages 14 & under and 15& up.
Online registration opens Saturday, March 21, 2026. Racer check-in will be in the lodge the morning of the race from 8:00 – 9:30. A racer meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m. at the announcer tent. Day-of registration will be in the lodge from 8:00 to 9:30; no registration or check-in will be allowed after 9:30. Awards and podium will be held at the announcer tent at 11:00. The fastest man and fastest woman receive a free entry into the Crowbar 2026 race.
Costume contest … following Race the Face awards – approximately 11:10
Costumes are encouraged. The costume parade will be near the announcer’s tent following the Race the Face awards presentation. Please listen for the announcement for the costume parade lineup. No sign-up is needed. Participation is free. Awards will be based on a crowd favorite.
Kiddie Pond Skim … 11:30 to 12:30
$10 to participate. This pond is for the littles, age 11 and under. Prizes will be given to all participants. Registration opens Friday, March 29 at 9 a.m.
The Pond Skim … Noon
$20 to participate. Prizes will be given to the best skimmer and longest jumper. The best skimmer competition will start at the highest mark of the competition. The skimmer must cross the pond to move on to the next round. The winner is the skimmer who makes it across the pond from the lowest starting mark. The longest jump contest will be held after the best skimmer competition. All skimmers must register before the skim. Space is limited to 150 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pond Skim registration opens Friday, March 27, at 9 a.m. and will close once it is full. Last year’s registration for the pond skim filled up quickly. Don’t miss out by waiting! Check in at the event registration table in the lodge from 8:00 to 12:00 to receive your participant wristband. All participants must have a signed waiver. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver, and everyone 18 and over must sign their own waiver. For the safety of the participants and the pond liner, tricks will not be allowed during either contest. Any participant who breaks this rule will be disqualified and banned from participating in future skims.
Employee Jousting … between pond skim rounds
Employees from different departments will compete in the jousting competition. Cheer on your favorite team to see who will claim the victory.
