The Basics of Art Therapy

This workshop is designed for professionals who want to use Art Therapy techniques safely within their current therapeutic practice. A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Counselling (or currently studying) is required to register for the course.

This short course is an introduction to the different qualities of art materials and their therapeutic use, day one is an experiential deep dive to discover how our sesnse can respond to the different art materials. It will also provide a solid understanding of Art Therapy techniques and the theories that underpin them and will give everyone an experience of facilitating a session and experience as an Art Therapy client.

You will receive a certificate of completion of the course and it can be claimed as 6 OPD points.
