# Event Details - **Event Name**: Oil Painting with Marilyn Eger - May Session 2 - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 20 May, 2026 at 09:00 am – Wed, 20 May, 2026 at 12:00 pm (-07:00) - **Event Description**: Instructor: Marilyn Eger Description: This is the second of two sessions. Please be sure to tone your canvas with a warm color ahead of time so it’s dry in time for the first class. Subject is your photo, your choice! Bring 2 photos of the image you want to paint (one in black & white and another in color). Your photo must be the same size as your canvas. You will use carbon paper to transfer your image to your canvas. Marilyn will assist each student with composition, color theory, color mixing, and coaching as needed to complete a painting from the photo they provided. Schedule: Wednesday, May 20, 2026 9 AM - 12 PM Each Day Class Audience: High school aged - Adult Class Experience Level: All experience levels Class Size: 6-9 students Workshop Fees: Payment due in advance of the class. If you will be using instructor’s materials, add $25 to the class fee below and you must still provide your own toned canvas. One full week notice required for refund to be issued. Brushes & Misc: Filbert Brushes#1, #2, #3, & #6. I use Utrecht Series 209. Also Utrecht 239-B Mixed Synthetic #4 is excellent for softening edges (If you already have filberts, bring what you have.)
