Observing is a skill that needs to be mastered by anyone who wishes to work as a behaviorist or a dog trainer. Obviously anyone who wants to share their live with dogs will benefit from a well developed observation skill.
This workshop with additional online theory is designed to help you develop that skill. To become aware of how to observe and what to observe.
The online theory will cover how to observe the state of the autonomic nervous system, as well as the balance and the flexibility of this system. It will help you to understand the sensory system in terms of information reaching the dog (from internal or external stimuli) and how this information influences the dog's behavior.
As a dog behaviorist, colleagues and clients often ask me how I can quickly pick up on a dog’s character, physical signals, and unique traits. This workshop is my answer to that!
During the practical workshop all the above (and more) will be practiced in live observations. Most importantly it will all come together in understanding what the best way could be to support the dog's development and what sensory tools to use for this goal.
