United Pilgrimage Around the Loch
The revival of the tradition of pilgrimage has been a development in spirituality in recent years. Locally, for example, the Fife Pilgrim Way passes through the southern edge of Kinross-shire on its route from Culross or North Queensferry via Dunfermline Abbey to St. Andrews.
On Saturday 25th July the folk of Kinross-shire are invited to join in a pilgrimage around Loch Leven, starting at the Kirkgate Park at 9.30am and with stops along the way for reflection and prayers, including communion at Findatie.
The pilgrimage is being organised by Emma Whitham, currently attached to Kinross-Shire Parish Church as part of her training for the Ministry. She says: “Everyone is welcome, church members, family, friends, dogs! It will be a whole day walk but there will be opportunities to enter or exit the walk at several stages along the way. I hope it will be an inclusive and accessible time of fellowship, reflection and worship.”
