# Event Details - **Event Name**: Tarot in the Shadows: A Post-Samhain Workshop/Gathering - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 07 Nov, 2026 at 10:30 am – Sat, 07 Nov, 2026 at 04:00 pm (+00:00) - **Event Description**: A workshop/ circle that's a light in the dark. A shared exploration of cards and characteristics we can find challenging. All are welcome.About this EventWhat is this event?A group based, judgement-free space which uses tarot as a lens to explore the things we may find challenging, confronting or even struggle to name in our everyday lives. It's designed to be a blend of workshop and a supportive sharing circle: a space where you'll have the opportunity to explore how tarot can support you with the challenges you're nagivating in your life, the supportive and empowering messages of what are often percieved to be "negative" cards, and whatever else comes up!We'll also share a delicious home-cooked lunch together, and I hope to hold some of the day around the fire...this is weather dependant though, and a very cosy indoor space is available should it be too rainy/cold.Who is this for?All are welcome! Come as you are. We value hosting, learning from and co-creating with a variety of people. No experience in tarot is needed, just an openness to learn, listen and explore.Although part of the day will be in the format of sharing circles/ discussions, there is never a requirement to speak or share anything. What will this support with? When working with the tarot, it's common for people to feel challenged by cards such as Death, The Tower, The Devil, or some of the more intense looking swords cards! But I truely believe that we're able to become more empowered, confident and expressive when we embrace all elements of life, and therefore of ourselves.Just like a tarot deck, we contain all possibilities, potentials, archetypes and energies. We can grow exponentially when we learn to utilise the wisdom of Death with as much reverence as when we bask in the light of The Sun.Who's running the workshop?Holly of Wolf Eye Creations & The Lavender Project: a creative tarot reader who has been working with tarot for 6 years, and wants to share the insights and inspiration that tarot has brought her with as many other people as she can! Holly lives at The Lavender Project, where she co-hosts creative & art based workshops, and is also the creator of Wolf Eye Creations, where she offers tarot readings, workshops and creates (often tarot inspired) poetry and art. What is tarot?A big question! There are almost infinite answers to this, but I believe it to be a beautiful and useful form of storytelling.A classic tarot deck contains 78 cards, and within those cards there is a whole range of emotions, archetypes, situations, relationships and other aspects of life represented. When we pull a card from a deck, or do a reading with multiple cards, it shows a story of what is happening for us. I see the tarot as a mirror that shows us our full story. Not just the bits that are obvious to us, but everything: what's underneath our desires and actions, what may be blocking us, and how we can best move forwards, among other truths. They are an honest and informative way to look at a situation. And, to me, they are just as magical as we humans are...so, very. You can engage with them on any level though. Whether you simply find the stories interesting or you look at life through a more magical lens, I believe the tarot have something to teach absolutely everyone. If you want to hear more, you'll have to come and join the workshop!Testimonials"The Internal Storytelling workshop was really fun. There was a really good vibe and everyone was happy working on the task, but in their own way. I liked that the instructions on what to do where given in a way that we didn’t feel like we were being told that we had to do anything or that there was any pressure. There was lots of freedom, and we could’ve chosen to do it any way we wanted. There was a big choice of all the different things and materials; all the stuff we could’ve possibly needed or wanted to use, and lots of guidance and help if we weren’t sure about anything. I ended up being very pleased with what I did. I don’t consider myself very good at drawing, or at anything to do with art in any way, but what I ended up with was really good!"Get in touch...Want to ask some more questions before you book?
