Steeped in history and lost in time for 16 years.A stone Tudor Manor was built by the Powell family on site. In 1720 it was sold to the 'Hope' family, it was later inherited by Hannah Jones of Trefonnen who's family owned the land where Llandrindod Wells Mineral Springs were found in the 1730's.In 1787 Thomas Jones Inherited the house, Thomas Jones was a famous Welsh Landscape Painter. In the early 1800's the house was passed to Thomas Jones Daughter and in 1832- 1839 the house was remodelled in the Tudorbethan style.In 1863 Clara Thomas , the Grand-Daughter of Thomas Jones's widow was the last gentry to live at the house and carried out further improvements. In 1914 Clara dies and her estate was divided amongst her family.
