Wales Coast Path
Gowerton to Tenby, Llanelli, United Kingdom
April 2026 sees the 6th edition of St George's Walk, covering another section of the Wales Coast Path from Gowerton to Tenby over 3 days.
The outline route will be:
· Friday 17th April – Gowerton to Llansteffan – circa 25 miles
· Saturday 18th April – Llansteffan to Pendine – circa 20 miles
· Sunday 19th April – Pendine to Tenby – circa 13 miles
Tickets are available to join us for the whole whole walk or for parts of the walk or single days. Checkpoints are available along the route with transport to allow walkers to complete parts of the route rather than and expectation to complete the whole day's distance.
Coastal walking can be challenging at times and a full route guide along with advice on footwear, clothing and preparations will be shared in advance.
Ticketing options allow walkers to choose whether to fundraise for the charity or to purchase a ticket including a donation. This year we are introducing single day tickets for those who may not want or be able to commit to multiple days. Full event tickets include a t-shirt and medal, single day tickets include a t-shirt only along with the route guide, preparations and the transport and checkpoint support.
We understand that times are tight and as a result we do have some tickets available for those struggling financially too. Please contact us via our main website enquiry form to find out more details.
St George's Walk began in 2021 and so far has raised over £25,000 which supports 4 national charities - RNLI, BBC Children in Need, Help For Heroes & the Scout Association. In addition small grants are made available to community groups and charities in the area we walk, this year mainly through Carmarthenshire.
St George's Walk aims to support physical and mental wellbeing through promoting activity in the great outdoors, walking in nature and getting regular exercise and supporting people of all ages and abilities to do more walking than they otherwise might. It is also a social experience, meeting new people and creating friendships across the events in April and October each year #WalkingForGood
This year's walk joins up the route we completed in 2021, 2022 & 2023 along the entire coastline of the Gower peninsula, the UK's first area of outstanding natural beauty, and the 2024 walk which travelled from Pembroke Castle to Tenby. With 2025's walk travelling from Milford Haven to St Davids, St George's Walkers will have joined up from Mumbles in Swansea to St Davids in Pembrokeshire, a total of over 200 miles of the Welsh coast path.
If you have any queries please get in touch via our website, we would love to welcome you to walk with us.
As a charity we are legally unable to offer refunds for the monies donated to us for St George's Walk 2026. We hope that you can understand this but are always open to a conversation and discussion on future participation.
