Les Inconnus – This fabulous Shropshire based band are travelling north to join us for some exciting Balfolk dancing. Whether you're an experienced dancer or new to the Balfolk scene, their upbeat and vibrant tunes will make it impossible to stay still. The Waite Collective – A family affair! Mother Mal and daughters Rebecca and Katrina have been singing together for over 20 years. Their joyful songs, full of catchy tunes and heartfelt energy, are sure to get your feet moving as you join in on the dance floor. Workshop - Role-swapping in traditional partner dances. Whether you're curious about following or eager to step into the lead, this workshop provides a supportive space to experiment, learn, and have fun. Swapping roles deepens your connection to the dance, enhances empathy, and improves communication with your partner. It challenges you to broaden your skills, break free from traditional roles, and open up new possibilities. Experience the joy of discovering both sides of the dance. Balfolk is a joyful, inclusive tradition of live folk music and social dancing from across Europe. It's an event for people of all ages and experience levels, where the focus is on having fun and connecting with others. The dances are easy to learn, and friendly dancers are always ready to show you the steps. You don’t need to bring a partner as you’ll have plenty of chances to dance with different people throughout the event. Balfolk is about community, inclusivity, and shared enjoyment.
