This is to help us monitor numbers and ensure we can prepare appropriately. 

How it works:

This event is a "Blind Book Swap." To prepare, simply choose one book (or more if you wish, packaged separately)- one you have read or not- then wrap it in your chosen paper. Finally, write the genre and a short clue to the contents of the book (without giving away the secret!) 

Over the course of the evening, you will have free perusal of all "Blind Books" on offer, choosing those that interest you.

Any books left over at the end of the evening will be used for fundraising events, or if the book you wrapped is still available, feel free to take it back home with you.

FAQ: 

-Do I have to wrap a brand new book? Feel free to use new or pre-loved books, so long as they are in good condition. 

- Does it need to be a book I've already read? No, you can wrap a book you have or haven't read. 

- What if i don't have a book to wrap up? - try the local charity shops, there are some gems hidden in the shelves! 

- What if I can't afford to donate a book? We will have a limited number of extra books available to choose from, so you can still take part if you can't donate right now. 

- What if I don't want to take part in the blind book swap, but do want to come to chat? Please come along, you'd still be most welcome! There will be tea and coffee available, and feel free to bring your own drink of choice if you prefer (soft or alcoholic)!
