The launch of the Submundo club night is headlined by the ultimate bass heavyweight: the one and only Surusinghe. A London-based Australian DJ and producer of Sri Lankan heritage, she is known for her genre-bending, unpredictable, and relentlessly intense sets. Blending wonky UK bass bangers, percussive techno stompers, uncompromising dubstep wobblers, and high-octane footwork workouts with Latin club influences, she has risen in recent years to become one of the most in-demand names on the underground bass scene. A regular presence at Europe’s most iconic clubs, from Panorama Bar to Printworks, she also often appears at leading electronic music festivals such as Sónar, Outlook, Dour, Glastonbury, and Dekmantel, where her performance also left a lasting impression on Submundo scouts.
