Ta tečaj je namenjen tistim, ki želijo začeti spoznavati solo jazz ples od začetka in nimajo nobenih plesnih izkušenj. Na tečaju se bomo osredotočili na učenje osnovnih gibanj telesa skozi različne gibe in ritme solo jazz plesa. Delali bomo na osnovnih korakih, kot so Charleston, Fall off the log, Knee slaps, Stomps itd., ter na tem, kako jih plesati na swing glasbo, tako v preprostih kombinacijah kot v improvizaciji.

🔸 Kaj je solo jazz?
Solo (Vernacular, Authentic) jazz je eden izmed plesov iz družine swinga. Je nadaljevanje tradicije afroameriške skupnosti in zato bolj prizemljen ter ritmičen, hkrati pa spodbuja lastno avtentičnost. Pleše se lahko tako solo kot tudi v paru ali v skupini. Je zabaven, svoboden, ritmičen in igriv.

Solo Jazz Fundamentals - Ana Vesel

This course is intended for those who want to start learning solo jazz dance from the beginning and have no prior dance experience. In the course, we will focus on learning basic body movements through various steps and rhythms of solo jazz dance. We will work on fundamental steps such as the Charleston, Fall off the Log, Knee Slaps, Stomps, etc., and on how to dance them to swing music—both in simple combinations and in improvisation.

🔸 What is Solo Jazz?
Solo (Vernacular, Authentic) jazz is one of the dances from the swing family. It continues the tradition of the African American community, making it more grounded and rhythmic, while also encouraging individual authenticity. It can be danced solo, in pairs, or in groups. It is fun, free, rhythmic, and playful.
