Tečaj je namenjen popolnim začetnicam in začetnikom, ki nimajo nič ali imajo zelo malo izkušenj s swing plesi. Naučil_a se boš osnovnih korakov in plesnih vzorcev, pokrili pa bomo tudi tehnike vodenja in sledenja, ki ti bodo pomagale povezati se s plesnim partnerjem. Na tečaju bomo raziskovali in se naučili razumeti ritem in tempo swing glasbe. Ob koncu tečaja boš obvladal_a osnove lindy hopa in pridobil_a samozavest za nadaljevanje plesne poti.

🔸 Kaj je lindy hop?
Lindy hop je eden najbolj prepoznavnih swing plesov – živahen in energičen plesni stil z močnimi koreninami v afroameriški kulturi, ki izvira iz newyorškega Harlema v poznih 20. in 30. letih prejšnjega stoletja. Združuje elemente jazza, stepa, breakawaya in charlestona, zanj pa so značilni dinamični gibi ter improvizacijski duh. Svojo največjo priljubljenost je lindy hop dosegel v času swing ere, še danes pa ostaja temelj swing plesne kulture.

Lindy hop Fundamentals - Špela Premelč & Pedro Vieira

This course is designed for absolute beginners who have no or minimal experience with swing. You'll learn basic footwork patterns and we'll cover leading and following techniques to help you connect comfortably with your partner. You'll also gain an understanding of swing music rhythms and tempos. By the end of the course, you'll have a solid foundation and confidence to enjoy Lindy Hop and continue your dance journey.

🔸 What is Lindy hop?
Lindy hop is one of the most recognizable swing dances—a lively and energetic dance style with strong roots in African American culture, originating in Harlem, New York, in the late 1920s and 1930s. It combines elements of jazz, tap, breakaway, and the Charleston, and is characterized by dynamic movements and a spirit of improvisation. Lindy hop reached its peak popularity during the swing era, and remains the foundation of swing dance culture to this day.

❗️ Participation in the course requires preliminary registration which you can do with or without a partner. In order to ensure the proper leader-follower ratio, those registering without a partner might be placed on a waiting list. During the classes, we suggest changing dance partners, so even those who sign up with “their” dance partner will not dance with him/her for the entire lesson. We like the idea that everyone dances with everyone.
