Get to know the world of wild plants and mushrooms

We start our event on Saturday, June 3rd, when foraging workshops led by Slovenian pickers and botanists will start simultaneously throughout Slovenia. With them, we want to expand knowledge about the plants that grow around us and educate about collecting ethics and respect for the environment. The main event on June 4 on the Pogačar square in Ljubljana

On June 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., you are invited to Pogačar square in Ljubljana for a rich culinary and entertainment program. Top chefs, pickers, NGO organizations and many others will join us at the stands.

During the day you will witness:

- exhibition of all wild-gathered plants and mushrooms from the previous day

- wild culinary offers

- cooking workshop with wild plants collected the previous day

- a professional lecture on the topic of preserving natural habitats

- a round table with gathered Slovenian experts on the topic of Ethical Collection

- live music artists

- socializing with foragers, exhibitors and NGO organizations

- children workshops

When it comes to food, we stand for locally produced and seasonal food, which is the heart of our dishes in addition to wild-harvested plants. Foraging isn't all about sunshine and honey. As foragers, we also want to be guardians of our nature. We notice forests that are no longer managed in the way that is appropriate for a selective economy. We see people leaving devastation in the nature. And our task is to inform and share knowledge how to take care of the nature. How to take and give, not only take. And with your help we can do it better and reach wider community!
