- **Event Description**: Get creative with Bluebird Upholstery, and learn how to make your very own lampshade, using timeless William Morris fabric!About this EventJoin Imogen from Bluebird Upholstery, for a William Morris lampshade making workshop at John Lewis store in Liverpool One.During this relaxed 2 hour workshop you will be taught how to make a contemporary drum-lampshade to a professional standard, using your choice of beautiful William Morris printed fabric.The workshop will take place in the Jan Molby Room which is a light and airy community space on Floor 2 of the John Lewis store, in Liverpool One. Refreshments following the workshop (hot drink & brownie) in the John Lewis Floor 3 'The Place to Eat' Restaurant are included in the ticket price.No experience necessary and all materials and equipment will be provided. Workshop numbers are limited to 6 people, which will ensure lots of one-to one teaching time.The finished shade will be 30cm in diameter and will be suitable for use on a table lamp, or as a pendant / ceiling shade.You will go home with a wonderful lampshade for your home or to gift to a loved one, plus the skills to make many more!Please note : When booking your ticket you will be asked to select your fabric design by name. Before booking your ticket, take a look at the series of 9 different fabric designs in the picture carousel above, select your choice of design, and make a note of the name. There are limited amounts of each design available and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Bluebird Upholstery has been transforming peoples well-loved but worn-out furniture, from a workshop in Liverpool since 2014. Owner Imogen Woodings is an AMUSF (Association of Master Upholsterers) trained upholsterer & QEST Scholar, is skilled in both traditional and modern upholstery, and was featured in the 2018 book 'A Celebration of British Craftsmanship'.
