The Life of a Bookswapper - Book Swap, Quiz, Live Music & More

We're aiming for our November swap to be the biggest and best one of the year, so please join us on Sunday, November 2nd, for a very special afternoon of swapping, music, quizzes, and more as we raise money for an important cause.

As always, tickets are free, but if you are able to, please consider adding a donation at checkout. The entirety of your donation will go towards the fundraising bucket on the day.

If you've never been to a Books In Bars event, feel free to message us with any questions - or check out the FAQs below - but it is pretty simple.

Come along from 2 pm with some books you're happy to part with and enjoy an alcoholic drink or a coffee inside Arts Bar, Hope Street, as the donations get organised.

Once everything is organised, you can browse and find a few new books to take home and adorn the space on your shelves, now free from your donations.

In addition to a free book swap, live music from amazing local bands and acts will be playing in the background, a literature-themed quiz will take place, and the usual raffle, blind books, etc.

Every penny raised - including donations processed through Eventbrite - will go directly to Palestinian aid charities.

All books are welcome, but please be considerate. If you only bring a couple of titles, take a few at first, while others browse - don't nab all the good ones and only leave your old GCSE French dictionary.

These events only work if everyone plays fair and brings books that someone might actually want to read or find helpful.
