Throughout the Bootcamp, participants will carry out a series of essential laboratory procedures including aseptic technique, cell seeding and splitting, counting and viability assessments, cryopreservation, thawing of cell stocks, and maintaining healthy mammalian cell lines.This Bootcamp runs from 8:30am to 4:30pm over 10 days, with an hour lunch break each day. Learners must complete 60 guided learning hours across the programme to receive their Certificate of Completion. During the course, participants will be observed, assessed, and provided with personalised feedback from experienced lecturers to support their development and confidence in the laboratory.This course is ideal for:Biology graduates preparing for their first role in industry.Newly appointed laboratory or research staff who require structured, hands-on training.Non-biology science graduates looking to gain core cell culture experience.Academic and industry laboratory technicians supporting research and practical work.Experienced scientists seeking to refresh and update their cell culture skills.Learners will leave with increased confidence and competence in a suite of core practical techniques widely used across modern biological research, biomanufacturing, and biotech laboratories.Learners applying for roles will also benefit from improved interview preparation and employability support, helping them confidently present their newly gained skills to employers.Please note: This course is fully funded through government programmes, and eligibility is based on meeting the required criteria.
