Kindfulness - An Afternoon Retreat with Dave Spencer

Mindfulness is nothing without kindfulness. That is, a warm, friendly relationship towards ourselves, our mind, emotions, and the world around us. It’s in this synergy between the mind and the heart that the real magic happens. These afternoon retreats are an opportunity to immerse yourself in a fun, creative and enjoyable journey into peace and self-understanding.
Dave Spencer is well-known for his intuitive and accessible approach to mindfulness teaching, drawing on a wide range of traditions and ideas, old and new. The afternoon retreat series is a long-standing favourite of many people and we’re delighted to be back with the first in a new series of events.
We will have all of the usual elements that people love about our Afternoon Retreats; guided meditations, teaching talks, interactive exercises, mindfulness in movement, opportunities to connect with others, positivity, shared food and fun! All taken at a relaxed and leisurely pace in the warm and welcoming surroundings of our amazing city centre venue!
Places are limited, advance booking is necessary to confirm your space and we will almost definitely be fully booked in advance so please do book early if you'd like to come. We would love to have you with us! :)
Our afternoon retreats are the perfect opportunity to explore and enjoy mindfulness and meditation in a friendly environment. Throughout the afternoon, we’ll be learning and practicing ways that mindfulness and meditation can help us to feel happier, healthier and more connected in our day to day lives.
All ages are welcome! Suitable for people at all levels of experience in mindfulness and meditation - both beginners and advanced. Interesting, empowering, accessible and fun!

Dave Spencer is a well-known and respected teacher, therapist, speaker and lecturer, specialising in mindfulness and well-being. He has practised and trained in mindfulness and meditation techniques since 2001. He teaches Mindfulness for many different organisations, including The University of Liverpool and The Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. He also teaches extremely popular independent classes, workshops and courses on mindfulness, meditation and yoga throughout the North-West.
Dave is also an associate trainer for Breathworks CIC – one of the leading mindfulness organisations in Europe. As well as multiple training accreditations in his field, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma with Distinction in Studies in Mindfulness. Dave is trained to teach mindfulness with Breathworks CIC and The Mindfulness Association. He is an approved teacher with The UK Network of Teacher Training Organisations and is a trained supervisor for mindfulness teachers. Dave also receives regular supervision himself and regularly attends CPD training events and retreats.
