                "description": "Come see the New Improved Hurricane Band with new musicians and new music.\n\nThe Hurricane Band is from the East San Francisco Bay Area. Originally formed as the \"Hurricane Blues Band\" in 1994, the band has been playing music in the East Bay Area for the past 20 years. The Hurricane Band produced its first CD 10 years ago and has also been featured on the Pat Meadows “Blues on Tap” radio program on KEGR FM 97.7 out of Concord on Thursday nights.\n\nThe band has undergone several personnel changes over the years until 2016 when the new and improved Hurricane was formed. The force of the Hurricane is driven by a six piece band that includes guitars, drums, bass, key boards, horns, saxophone, harmonica and flute. The band combines both male and female vocals, resulting in a collage of sound reflecting the best in Rock, Classic Rock, Blues Dance and Country Music. We can play soft dinner music OR we can ROCK the house for dancing with rock, classic rock and blues or move right in to a dance song currently on the charts.\n\nThe Hurricane is a fun, high-energy band. Lead Guitarist Fred Musser has a remote on his guitar that enables him to go out into the crowd and dance and interact with the crowd without missing a lick.  Lead Singer Tresenia Griffin puts the “Her” in Hurricane and she can really sing up a storm.   She has a remote microphone and you can often find her in the crowd dancing, and getting the audience to sing along.  Dave Gamble sounds a little like Tom Petty and sings both lead and back-up vocals.  George Phirippidis and Corey round out our rhythm section sound with impeccable rhythm on the drums and bass. Mark Yang brings a variety of new instruments to the band including key boards, horns, saxophone, harmonica and flute. \n\nThe Hurricane is the perfect choice for special events, wineries, weddings, clubs, private parties and corporate events etc. We can also DJ and make special announcements at your wedding, party or special event.
