This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to use overhead cranes safely to help reduce the frequency and severity of overhead crane related incidents that result or could result in injury to workers or damage to property and/or equipment. The course will cover the safe use and operation of a powered overhead hoist, including conducting a pre-use inspection, demonstrating safe operating and rigging procedures, and the use, care, inspection and storage of equipment.
