Dai Trang is a Vietnamese artist and designer based in Kaurna Country, with a creative journey spanning Vietnam, the UK and Australia. Her practice embraces an intuitive approach rooted in mindfulness, presence and the unfolding of each moment.

The Guildhouse Collections Project with FABRIK gave Dai Trang the unique opportunity to meaningfully engage with the living heritage of FABRIK: its people. Over six months, Dai Trang developed an ever-evolving participatory installation encouraging visitors and members of the public to contribute to this collective creation by threading and weaving yarn, fabric and textiles into the piece.

Beyond the physicality of the artwork, Dai Trang’s installation acts as a beacon of patience and rest, inviting participants to collectively pause and consider the small gestures of movement that contribute to the whole.

We invite guests to join us in celebrating Dai Trang’s journey and share in this grounded participatory experience.
