Join Abigail's Trails on a midweek hike up onto Blackstone Edge from Hollingworth Lake.
We will set off from Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre and walk up onto the edge on good paths and tracks. We'll then descend via a moorland route before reaching the Pennine Bridleway for our return to Hollingworth Lake.
This 6.25 mile (10km) circular route has an elevation of 1,200ft (365m) and will be of moderate steepness. We will aim to complete this route within 4 hours, including a little break at the top to enjoy some refreshments (weather permitting).
Well behaved, friendly (with other dogs and people), agile dogs are welcome (max. 2 per person), but please note we are likely to encounter livestock enroute, so will have to be on leads for parts of this route.
As with all Abigail's Trails, this is a small-group guided walk led by a professional Mountain Leader. Spaces are limited and cost £10 per person. We specialise in inspirational small-group guided walks and navigation training for education and connection. Our priority is your enjoyment and wellbeing.
Details of what to bring and where to meet will be emailed or sent in the WhatsApp chat on booking, but please get in touch if you need further details beforehand. We walk in ALL weather, so please take note of the Kit List that will be sent out on booking.
