Kendall Health Nugent Conference Center at Philander Smith University. This special event was founded in honor of two trailblazers whose legacies continue to inspire: The Honorable Joyce Williams Warren, the first Black female graduate of the William H. Bowen School of Law and Arkansas’ first Black female judge, and Dean Cynthia Nance, the first Black female law school dean in Arkansas. This year's Celebration will honor the legacy of the Honorable Alice Sprinkle Gray, retired Pulaski County Circuit Judge who served in Arkansas's Sixth Circuit since winning election in 1992. Like this event's namesakes, Judge Gray's achievements embody courage, excellence, and a steadfast commitment to breaking barriers in the legal community.
