Pete will break down how AI works, where we see it in everyday life, and how it’s used in real-world roles at Cisco. Students will get an insider’s view into the benefits and challenges of AI and hear inspiring insights into what the future might hold for this powerful and rapidly evolving technology.🕑: 10:50 AM - 11:30 AMCode a Lego robot!Host: University of LiverpoolInfo: Let’s learn to program a robot. In this session, you’ll learn to program LEGO robots with motors, motion sensors, distance sensors, colour sensors and more! After that you’ll go head-to-head in teams of three to write your own custom programs – with a prize being awarded for the best or most creative programs.  🕑: 11:35 AM - 12:15 PMApplications of AIHost: University of LiverpoolInfo: Inspired by our location at the University of Liverpool's amazing Ness Botanical Gardens, we will take a look at how AI is being used by scientists and botanists. Students will explore machine learning and have a go at teaching an AI model to classify plants. Can you spot the poisonous plants and beat AI?🕑: 12:15 PM - 12:45 PMLUNCH🕑: 12:45 PM - 02:25 PMDragon's Den ChallengeInfo: In teams, students will be set a Dragon's Den-style design challenge. After receiving their brief, they'll have half an hour to come up with the concept for a new piece of technology. Teams will then present their ideas back to a panel of expert judges, who'll provide them with valuable feedback on their designs.
