Join us for an opening reception in collaboration with the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts as we welcome artist Lutz Scherneck.

Lutz Scherneck was born in Germany and settled in Upstate New York early in life. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Syracuse University in 1976.

He is best known for his expressive acrylic paintings created with fluid color poured and drawn across the canvas. Influenced by French Impressionists and contemporary American artists like Pollock and Rothko, Lutz’s work focuses on paint itself as the primary subject — whether abstract or inspired by natural motifs.
His artwork has been exhibited throughout Central New York, earning numerous awards. A large mural of his work can be seen on Albany Street in Little Falls.

Enjoy light refreshments, live music by 2 Minutes 2 Midnight Acoustic Duo, and meet the artist.
Both the Cafe and Nonna Maria will be open for regular business.

The exhibit will be on display all month long.
