✨ Candle Light Hike & Snowshoe 🌲 at Charles Lindbergh State Park! ✨
Trade your screens for scenes! The Little Falls Chamber and Tourism invites you to experience the magic of Charles Lindbergh State Park after dark at our annual FREE Candle Light Hike/Snowshoe event!
Walk, wander, and explore our historic park along a trail lit entirely by the beautiful, soft glow of hundreds of lanterns. This is a perfect, unique winter outing for the whole family!
EVENT DETAILS:
What: Candle Light Hike/Snowshoe (Self-paced, family-friendly)
Where: Charles Lindbergh State Park and Morrison County Historical Society
When: Saturday, January 3rd, 2026
Time: Drop in anytime from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Cost: FREE! (See permit note below)
The Experience:
Our short, easy trails are ideal for all ages and skill levels. There is no set start time, so come when you like and enjoy the trail at your own pace!
Footwear: Most people just walk the groomed trails, but feel free to bring your own snowshoes if you prefer and conditions allow!
Warming Up: The picnic shelter will be open as a warming house to take a break from the cold!
IMPORTANT LOGISTICS (PLEASE READ!)
✅ PARK PERMIT: Edward Jones: Jana Festler and Zachary Klosowski have generously sponsored parking for this event, so a Minnesota State Park Vehicle Permit is not required during the event.
🥶 WEATHER CONTINGENCY: This is a Minnesota winter event!
The event will go on even if there is NO SNOW (it just becomes a beautiful candlelight hike!).
If the air temperature is 0 degrees Fahrenheit or colder at the park, the event will be CANCELED for safety.
Please check this event page for any last-minute cancellation announcements due to extreme weather or ice conditions.
