Lots of grasses and pollinator plants.About this EventWhat to expect: Take part in our very first Native Plant Sale at the Farm! We will have several pollinator plants as well as native grasses on sale for $6.00 a gallon. We will be taking credit or debit card ONLY.Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Whitney Ball, the Natural Resource Manager at the EMBARC Youth Farm.Where to meet: Upon entering the gate, turn right and park in front of the brown building.What to bring: Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing. We also encourage bringing a wagon or cart to transport plants to your car.Credit/debit cards ONLYRestrooms: The available bathroom is the portapotty located in the parking lot by park headquarters (professionally cleaned twice a week).Recommended ages: This program content is for all ages. Children under 16 MUST be accompanied and supervised by an adult during the entire program.Weather contingency: This program will be held rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs (RPCA). If there is rain, the plant sale will continue and be held in the greenhouse.Walking distance: Distance from your car to the garden.Exposure:r The garden is in morning shade but will be in full sun by 10am.Trail surface & accessibility: The garden has crushed granite surrounding the garden beds. The walk to get to the garden is a turfed hill. If you or someone with you needs assistance coming down to the garden, there will be a ranger on site to pick up anyone in the golf cart to transport them to the garden.
