Please note: Celebrations will be started at 10 am each day and run until 4. Each day will feature guest talks and recreational activities. Spaces are limited, first come first serve. There is no requirement to stay the full time, come for the events you'd like. 

Day 1: Friday May 29- The 50th anniversary of Sweetwater Creek State Park opening its doors 
10:00 am: Featured guest talks from Emily D Springer, author of Making A Park, Sweetwater Creek State Park a History of Land and People 
11:15 am Ambassador animals 
12:00 pm Cake 
12:30 pm Guided nature hike on the purple trail 
3:00 pm Archery &  Black Powder Riffle Demonstration 
4:00 pm event end 

Day 2: Our History 
10:00 am Guest Talk from the Friends of Sweetwater Creek 
11:15 am Geology Talk 
12:00 pm Cake 
12:30 pm Native American History Talk in the Museum 
1:30 pm Mill Tour 
3:00 pm Make your own Lantern ($5)
4:00 pm Event end

 Day 3: George H. Sparks Reservoir 
10:00 am Guest Talks from the Georgia Conservancy
