The second week of our summer camp programs is packed full of western speed events, including barrel racing, pole bending, dash for cash (or in this case candy), flag, keyhole, and Texas speed'n action. like all our summer camp programs there are two coached lessons each day. In these lessons we will teach students the proper patterns, body controls, drills to improve times, and build their horsemanship skills. How to practise with purpose and make plans and set realistic goals. Each day there will be focus on one or two of the games with a little friendly competition on the Friday with a small show. Out of the lessons ring we will be touching base on horse health, care, nutrition, and conditioning needed to stay competitive in the sport. This camp is designed for students who have some riding experience and are wanting to further their skills or students how are interested in learning what it takes to compete.
We do allow student to bring their own horses to this camp, you are required to have proof of liability insurance and must do their feeding and stall clean out. horses must also be up to date on vaccinations.
