What happens at our Main AAC Event at Linear St. Johns & Manor – raising money for CWCUK
We arrive on the Thursday when the Marquee will be erected and Tables & Chairs arrive, also our Generator will arrive for lighting and power. This will be on the grass Manor Car Park. Bivvies can be set up on surrounding grass, those fishing the Event can bed down in the Marquee (Thursday Evening only), or set up nearby.
Once set up BBQ will arrive ready for evening food for anyone that wishes to turn up early (Friday morning) ready for the draw at 8 am sharp, please do not park in the entrance if you arrive early before gates open, park in the car park opposite. We also tend to have a little drink and a laugh, getting to know new Members and old Thursday eve.
As Anglers taking part arrive they need to Register with me, hand over their Sponsor Forms and any money collected that is not on their Just Giving Pages., and collect their Wrist Bands. DO NOT HAVE ANY SPONSORS OWE YOU, if the minimum of £150 has not been Raised, you will NOT be able to fish. (You will have approx. 7 Months from purchase of your Tickets to raise the Minimum).
Friday Morning, (Bit of Breckie if required), Draw for Swims will be done,  8 am then Anglers will be able to set up, plumb etc, but No Baits in the water before 10 am when the Event will start. Last year we had Anglers wanting to swap swims – This wont happen this year, We are just raising money for the Children therefore you fish the swim you are allocated – Be sports, you are fishing in a lake and fish do move round. This is more of an Event than a Match.
Friday evening, Your dedicated Marshall will come round to take evening food orders, and deliver back to your swim, or you can reel in and come to the Marquee for a social drink and food, entirely up to the individual.
Saturday Morning, Marshalls will again come round to take food orders and deliver back to you, then at 1pm there will be a Compulsory Reel in for the BBQ & Hog Roast – All Marshalls will be on both Lakes making sure ALL your Tackle is safe (taking turns to come in for food) at No time will the lakes be left unattended by Marshalls at this time. This is so those taking part can relax and enjoy the food/music and social. Once fed between 3-4 pm Starter Horn will be sounded for Anglers to return to their swims, no one is to fish until this happens please.
Sunday, orders again taken for Breakfast rolls as above.  Sunday morning, Horn will sound for the end of the Event at 10 am Presentations will then happen – Biggest Fund Raiser overall, Biggest Carp Caught, Biggest Cat caught and overall winner with the Biggest Weight, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place.
We will then hold our Mega Raffle – Raffle Tickets will be on sale at this event Mid-day Sunday . All money raised at this event will be for Children With Cancer UK.
