- **Event Description**: Windsor Great Park and Forests are known for their ancient and veteran trees but also encompass many other special habitats including heathland, grassland, lakes and other wetland areas.

We are delighted to welcome Des Sussex, the Crown Estate’s first Biodiversity and Conservation Manager at Windsor, to tell us about the trees, other habitats and wildlife at this remarkable 6500 hectare estate. He will also outline the range of projects being implemented there for nature conservation and recovery, under the stewardship of the Ranger, His Majesty King Charles III.

Venue: Garden Room, Alton Community Centre, Amery St, Alton GU34 1FE. what3words ///instructs.spreads.viewing. Car park adjacent (free after 6pm).

Tea, coffee and biscuits available for a suggested minimum donation of £1.

All welcome (under 18s please bring an adult). If you aren't a member of the Society, please consider donating £3 towards costs, so we can continue to run our valued programme of talks.
