Elevator ARI is honoured to present Postdiluvian, a major exhibition and performance project by Wojak, including the premiere of a haunting new film created in collaboration with Karenza Ebejer.
An exposition in layers of deposit.
What happens when the river rearranges everything?
Emerging from the unprecedented 2022 floods, Postdiluvian gathers the remnants of a studio transformed by silt, water and time. Burnished metal meets riverine sediment. Oil paint holds its ground against alluvial overlay. Broken furniture becomes reconstructed assemblage.
This is not restoration.
It is reimagining.
A ritual of mourning and affirmation.
Spatial curation, responsive materials, and live performance re-enter the floodplain as witness and reclamation.

We welcome you to bear witness to a process of reclamation — to stand within the layers, the sediment, the reconfigured remains — and to experience the unfolding of Postdiluvian in exhibition and live performance.
