- **Event Description**: Sterts Arts & Environmental Centre has been shaped by the people who built it, volunteer, performed and supported from behind the scenes. 

Join us to learn ​about making oral history interviews. We will explore what makes a good interview, how to draw out in-depth narratives and how to filter previously collected material. It will also cover useful tools and equipment to assist you with building an archive. This workshop will give you the basic skills you need to go off and start your own archive collection. 

No previous experience is required. This workshop is open to anybody interested in story collections. Perfect for enthusiasts, locals, creatives and volunteers!

On 26th March 2026, Sterts marks 40 years as a registered charity. Our Stories, Our Sterts is an invitation to share and preserve your stories of sterts through workshops, oral-history and story-collective sessions. Together, we will create a new permanent exhibition in our gallery space, weaving personal memories with the natural and cultural lanscape that surrounds Sterts.
