Printing on Clay

Great Pottery Throw Down winner (2024) Donna, shares her knowledge and expertise in printing on clay. Some experience in hand-building with clay is essential to participation in this workshop as you will create your own slab-built flask.

Experimentation will include the use of viewfinders to select interesting compositions to incorporate in your design. Using underglazes, to create vibrant surfaces, you will be guided in transferring designs onto clay slabs using a mono printing technique.

At the end of the workshop, your creations will be taken to Donna’s studio for firing and then returned to Island Arts Centre for your collection.
