From 25 to 27 July 2025, PROMIN’ Festival will take place at Cinema São Jorge in Lisbon — an event that, for the first time, presents a curated selection of contemporary Ukrainian cinema, video art, and public discussions in the heart of Portugal. The word PROMIN’ means ray in Ukrainian — symbolizing light, vision, and Ukraine’s cultural presence in Europe.

The festival opens on Friday, July 25, at 19:00 with an official ceremony, followed by a screening of the feature film FOREVER-FOREVER directed by Anna Buryachkova, and Q&A afterwards.

The festival program includes films such as FOREVER-FOREVER by Anna Buryachkova, Fragments of Ice by Mariia Stoianova, Timestamp by Kateryna Gornostai, La Palisiada by Philip Sotnychenko and others. 

The discussion panel will feature Maria Kulikovska, Maria Proshkovska, Zoya Laktionova, Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Khimei, Lena Kovach, Piotr Armianovski, and more.

The festival is organized in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in Portugal, the Embassy of Portugal in Ukraine, and the Shcherbenko Art Centre.
