Desde tempos imemoriais, a luz representa poder e controle sobre a escuridão, tanto que hoje é quase impossível pensar um mundo sem luz.  No passado, esta necessidade levou à criação de objetos para acautelar este bem tão precioso, que durante a época romana, ficaram conhecidos como lucernas. 

Nesta palestra, a arqueóloga Carolina Grilo, do Museu de Lisboa – Teatro Romano, dá a conhecer um pouco mais sobre a sua história e como estes objetos são janelas para a sociedade e cultura romanas.
