They will read from their most recent books and engage in a conversation with the audience. Cole Swensen is a poet and translator who has several collections of poetry and has taught in esteemed MFA programs such as Iowa, UDenver, and Brown University. Biswamit Dwibedy is the co-director of the MFA program at The American University of Paris. Originally from India, he lives in Paris. His memoir, Hundred Greatest Love Songs was published in India by Penguin Random House in 2025.What to Expect from the Event?The evening will begin with a few readings from Angelique before we open the floor to the open mic, for anyone who wishes to share their poetry in a warm and welcoming environment.If you’d like to perform, please prepare 1 or 2 poems, ideally originals. Both English and Portuguese poetry are welcome.Not a performer? No problem! You’re more than welcome to attend and enjoy the readings as part of the audience. After 1 hour of Open Mic, our guests, Cole and Biswamit, will read from their most recent books and engage in a conversation with the audience.
