Dating is a Joke!: A Comedy Singles Event (in English)

A combination comedy show and singles event, Dating is a Joke! is a new kind of way to meet people while having a blast.

No speed dating, no human bingo, no awkward conversations, just a hilarious good time hosted by experienced comedians. Laughter is guaranteed, even if love isn’t.

Note: The event is in English. Due to the nature of the event and themes, this event is for ages 18+

How does it work?
In the first half, our experienced comedians will warm up the crowd with comedy. Relax, have a drink, and laugh. For a sneak peek of what to expect, visit our Instagram page at @comedydating.

Then, in the second half, we will invite audience members to play dating games with us (all voluntary). It’s a great way to get to know each other in a low stakes fun way. There’s plenty of time to mingle and chat with others before the show, during the break, and afterwards.

• 8:30 PM: Doors Open. Come in. Get a drink, mingle, and fill out some anonymous submissions to get things started
• 9 PM: Show starts: The first half is comedy to get you smiling
• Short break: Mingle with people you've met
• 9:45 PM: Dating Games/Singles Event: get to know your fellow audience members and maybe even keep things going after
• After? Well, that depends on you. The bar will stay open.
  
  Do I have to be single to join?
  Nope! Almost everyone there will be single, but everyone is welcome. In fact, if you bring a single friend, you can even sign up for a Pitch My Bestie style segment, where you have 2 minutes to explain why people should date your friend.
  
  Can I come alone?
  Absolutely! Please do. We’re a friendly bunch. The night is designed for opportunities to meet new people and be as bold as you want.
  
  Do I have to participate?
  All of the games are voluntary. We encourage people to step a little out of their comfort zone, but no participation is required. Howevr, our goal is that you feel relaxed enough and the games are low stakes enough that you'll feel comfy joining in.
  
  What does it cost?
  This is a ticketed show. You need a paid ticket to enter. We recommend purchasing well ahead of time, as this show will sell out before the date.
