„Chemistry between Science and Industry”
For many years the Austrian Chemistry Days have been a forum for presentation and discussion of recent progress in all areas of chemistry and chemical technologies. In 2019, this event will return to Linz located in a region where an internationally important chemical industry is present, and where academic research in the various chemical fields is well established at the Johannes-Kepler-University. Therefore, the Austrian Chemistry Days may be a perfect opportunity to strengthen links between academia and industry. The German Chemical Society is the official partner of the Austrian Chemistry Days 2019
The program will include invited lectures given by recognized experts as well as oral and poster presentations. It will also include a special program for students. As in recent years, the language of the conference will be English in order to make the event attractive for participants from neighbouring chemical societies.
Last, but not least, the United Nations has proclaimed 2019 as the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. Thereby, the United Nations has recognized the importance of raising global awareness of how chemistry promotes sustainable development and provides solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health. The Austrian Chemistry Days will include activities highlighting the development of the Periodic Table of the Elements.
The Austrian Chemical Society and the Johannes-Kepler-University are looking forward to meeting you in Linz in September 2019.
