Det går att göra en väldigt förenklad presentation av Charm of Finches – systrarna Mabel och Ivy Windred-Worns är något av Australiens First Aid Kit! Club Cherry Pie är otroligt stolta att systerduon gör ett stopp på Babettes Kulturpalats i Linköping när de under våren 2026 turnerar i Sverige. Ett unikt tillfälle att fånga dessa långväga gäster! Systrarna, ursprungligen från Melbourne, rör sig i gränslandet mellan indiefolk och kammarpop. Och deras DNA-lika stämsång innehåller både svidande melankoli och tjusig förundran. Charm of Finches har under de senaste åren turnerat flitigt i Australien, Kanada, Storbritannien och andra delar av Europa. Senaste fullängdsalbumet ”Marlinchen In The Snow” (2024) spelades in på vischan i Nova Scotia i Kanada tillsammans med producenten Daniel Ledwell. Systrarna tog där inspiration av det vackert frostbitna landskapet, men albumet är också inspirerat av Bröderna Grimms olika sagor och ett flyktigt liv ute i världen som musiker. Charm of Finches håller just nu på att spela in ny musik som kommer att släppas under 2026. Duon har också hunnit kamma hem ett antal priser; “Australian Folk Music Awards Best Folk Album” (2022), “Music Victoria Best Folk Act” (2021) och dessutom nominerats två gånger för and ”the Australian Music Prize”.

Den 13 maj besöker de Club Cherry Pie på Babettes kulturpalats, en show man inte bör missa, it will be sweeter than Cherry Pie!
