On Saturday, June 20th, the Sun will be at the peak of its strength, the day will be the longest of the year. 

Let’s gather together on this solstice at Yoga Together Lincoln and take time to attune to Mother Nature’s rhythm. 

We’ll begin with a talk on the current alignment of the outer planets - Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto - which are reflecting back to us the dramatic changes happening both globally and personally.  I’ll help you understand what this reveals about the time we’re living through and put it in the context of the Yugas, the great time periods described in Vedic teachings.

Then we'll do some yoga, a practice that doesn’t require special clothes or props. Instead we’ll do some simple movements to release tension from the body so we can sit for a breathing practice to release tension from the mind. This will be followed by a chanting practice using the short-form of the Gayatri mantra. If you know it, great and if you don’t, no worries - I’ll teach it to you. The chanting practice will flow naturally into a short period of silent meditation. 

Following our practice together, there will be time to share, connect, and be in each other’s good company. 

There will be chai and treats to enjoy!
