Working with paint and mixed media, you'll learn techniques to loosen your approach and create compelling abstract works that express feeling, energy, and imagination.ITINERARY:Day 1: Leading to AbstractionBegin your journey by abstracting the figure, working from a clothed model as we intentionally steer you away from representational drawing. Then we’ll explore abstracting the landscape - using a landscape as your starting point, we'll show you techniques to think abstractly and make your own unique image.Day 2: Pure AbstractionExperiment with mark making and discover different ways of applying paint with a limited palette. Learn how restrictions can unlock creativity.
