Jazz in June 2025 Concert Series - Jumaane Smith

Jazz in June concerts take place every Tuesday evening during the month of June at the UNL Sheldon Sculpture Garden. The free, family-friendly concert series will feature two sets of music from 7-7:45 p.m. and 8-8:45 p.m., with a 15-minute intermission.

June 3rd Artist- Jumaane Smith
Jazz in June kicks off June 3rd with Jumaane Smith, Michael Bublé‘s legendary trumpet player. Smith is an electrifying trumpet player and vocalist. With sky-high notes on the trumpet with irresistible grooves, he’ll have the crowd on its feet. Jumaane has headlined iconic venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blue Note, Java Jazz Festival, and more. He has collaborated with pop, soul, and disco music legends, including the renowned producer and composer Quincy Jones, the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and global superstar Barbra Streisand. With his unique blend of pop and soul, every performance he delivers is unforgettable.

The Jazz in June Food Festival, as well as our Kids Zone, will be starting at 5pm. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Jazz in June performances are free and open to the public, though donations are encouraged at the event or ahead of time online. Alcohol and/or dogs are not permitted.
