Igor Yuzov was raised in the former Soviet Union — a part of the world not historically known for surf culture. In the early 1990s, he emigrated to the United States, landed in Los Angeles, and did something that made complete sense to him and zero sense to anyone else: he built a band that fused Russian folk melodies with American rockabilly, surf guitar, and klezmer. He called the music Siberian Surf Rock and dared the world to figure out what to do with it.

The world, it turns out, decided to dance.

For more than 30 years, Igor & The Red Elvises have been one of the hardest-working road bands in America — 70+ dates on their 2026 calendar, a devoted following built city by city, show by show. No algorithm built this fan base. Word of mouth did. The phrase you will hear from people who have seen them is always some version of the same thing: they always bring the party.
