- **Event Description**: UK Jewish Film is coming to Lincoln for the first time! At 18:30 on Tuesday November 25th, we will be screening a programme of short films about British Jewish life at the Everyman Cinema. These films set out to demonstrate the absolute diversity of British Jewish life, and include The Innocents, sponsored by the Jewish Small Communities Network, which was shot in Norfolk and Lincolnshire. The audience will get a chance to watch a selection of short documentaries and dramas, all made this year, which will surprise, charm, amuse, entertain, warm your heart, make you think, make you cry and, above all else, make you feel proud to be Jewish. All of the films were shot in UK locations and made by British filmmakers.

Our two dramas — which both explore themes of loss — are set in Birmingham and Leeds, and star Anton Lesser and Ben Caplan, alongside some of the finest young actors you’re likely ever to see! Our short docs include films about a female Jewish boxer, a young Jewish tattoo artist, a group of Jewish women from Liverpool who have been friends for 55 years (and counting!) and an elegiac glance into the world of leading artist, Liorah Tchiprout.

The screening will be followed by a very special Q&A, where we will discuss the Jewish community in Lincoln and meet members of the UK Jewish Film team and Jonny Weinberg, who made The Innocents.
